Pope Francis says:
‘Every stranger who knocks at our door is an opportunity for an encounter with Jesus Christ…This solidarity must be concretely expressed at every stage of the migratory experience — from departure through journey to arrival and return.’ If we can ‘walk a day in someone else’s shoes’ and take the time to listen and to understand, we see others as brothers and sisters. Instead of ‘us’ and ‘them’, it’s ‘we’. Instead of asking ‘why are you here?’ we ask ‘How can I help?’
